Wait, what the hell just happened? She needs to calm down.

All we have to believe with is our senses, the tools we use to perceive the world: our sight, our touch, our memory. If they lie to us, then nothing can be trusted. And even if we do not believe, then still we cannot travel in any other way than the road our senses show us; and we must walk that road to the end.

Ok...here's Talking Heads. The lead singer, David Byrne, is Ne-INTj. This is a clip from the seminal concert movie Stop Making Sense.

This is Coheed and Cambria. The lead singer and principle songwriter Claudio Sanchez is a Ti-ENTp. Oh, and he's got a whole amazingly epic and ridiculous back story behind the music and even the band itself. It's about androids in space fighting against some monsterous tyrannical overlord. And it's totally awesome.

And if you doubt that he's alpha, the name of this song is "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth." Doesn't get much more alpha than that.

Nick told me that he and the lead singer are identicals. And that the band is incredibly Beta. :/

Not that I care either way: http://www.the16type...ead.php?t=21446

Personally, I don't like like them at all. Alpha can have them. :P

While I think you are right that she is Si-ISFp...this does not qualify as awesome alpha music because it is highly boring. I'm very glad at least some of my duals (Bjork, Beck) make decent music. Slow piano music needs to GTFO.

Lol. I love Norah Jones! I have my doubts about her being ISFp though.

You said Awesome music ... Awesome music has yet to be posted. The way this thread is going I'd rather hang out with deltas, because atleast they have taste in music (no taste in style or movies ... but music!) (Alpha's have the greatest movie taste ever!)

PS. When I say Delta's have taste in music ... I mean like two songs.

Endless re-makes of shit like "Scary Movie" doesn't count as great cinematic taste.
“Some of the evil of my tale may have been inherent in our circumstances. For years we lived anyhow with one another in the naked desert, under the indifferent heaven. By day the hot sun fermented us; and we were dizzied by the beating wind. At night we were stained by dew, and shamed into pettiness by the innumerable silences of stars. We were a self-centered army without parade or gesture, devoted to freedom, the second of man's creeds, a purpose so ravenous that it devoured all our strength, a hope so transcendent that our earlier ambitions faded in its glare.” —T.E. I'm not referring to Gamma movie taste. I know some of my favorite movies, heres a small list, are...

Brick, In Bruges, Vantage Point, Pulp Fiction, The Silence of the Lambs, Se7en, The Shining, Back to the Future, Die Hard, The Bourne Ultimatum, V for Vendetta, The Princess Bride, The Boondock Saints, Twelve Monkeys, Disturbia, The Perfect Score, Street Kings, Cellular, 30 Days of Night, The Prestige, Hackers, War Games (Series), Lucky Number Slevin, From Dusk Till Dawn, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Ironman, 1408, The Mist, Kingdom Hospital, Dreamcatcher, It, Needful Things, Identity, National Treasure (Series), 8MM, Bringing Out the Dead, Lord of War, The Rock , Vampires, Risky Business, Top Gun, Collateral, The Untouchables, Interview with the Vampire, Revolver

Again this is just a small list.

PS. I extremely dislike Scary Movie type movies.

Intriguing - I think the only movies I like on that list are Twelve Monkeys and From Dusk Til' Dawn. Overall, I think your list contains a lot of movies which I'd consider to be reflective of Alpha tastes and preferences.

Some of my favorite movies are...

American Beauty, Apocalypse Now, Band of Brothers (series), Beautiful Mind, Big Lebowski, Braveheart, Cool Hand Luke, Cross of Iron, Dawn of the Dead (re-make), Donnie Darko, Downfall, Fear&Loathing in Las Vegas, Fifth Element, Fight Club, Glory, Hotel Rwanda, Killing Fields, Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Mad Max, Man on Fire, Matrix, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Ocean's Eleven, Patton, Platoon, Salton Sea, Shawshank Redemption, Terminator, Trainspotting, 28 Days Later, Waterworld, We Were Soldiers

I think it would be interesting to categorize movies by quadra. Though this isn't necessarily straightforward and most movies will have significant influences from multiple quadras. The screenwriter(s) may be from one quadra, the director from a different quadra, the lead actor(s) from yet another quadra, etc. But yeah, in practice I think this is do-able.

Compiled from both Lykos' and Ashton's lists:

Pulp Fiction
The Silence of the Lambs
Se7en
Back to the Future (was ok)
The Boondock Saints
8MM (sick)
Top Gun (was ok; classic, so deserves a mention)
American Beauty
Band of Brothers (series)
Beautiful Mind
Braveheart
Cool Hand Luke
Downfall (DER UNTERGANG!)
Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas
Fifth Element (was ok)
Fight Club
Mad Max
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (lol@nicholson)
Patton
Platoon
Shawshank Redemption
Terminator
Trainspotting
Waterworld
We Were Soldiers

Movies I would add:

Das Boot
Flags of our Fathers
Letters from Iwo Jima
Generation Kill (series)
Black Hawk Down
Vanishing Point (the original with Barry Newman in 1971, not that made-for-TV movie remake)
Alien
Predator
Predator 2
Easy Rider (1969)
Forrest Gump
Star Wars (original trilogy)
Full Metal Jacket
Kelly's Heroes
The Dirty Dozen
Midway (1976)
Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970)

And some others I can't think of at this moment. But I think I've got all the classic fiction and non-fiction WWII movies.

Bold is great
Italic is good
Nothing is bad

I can see why you dislike like some of my movies. I mean anyone that likes 28 Days Later must have a slow and predictable taste. But your list also confuses me because you like Fear & Loathing and Fifth Element ... those are good movies.
