Subscribe to new videos. I represent a series of works called "Abashshaka" There will be about 20 works on this theme, where my two friends will burn you to the full!
Also, this cycle will called "Еськи Жгут", but then I wanted to give another name to this cycle
This is done just for lols
and have more fun!
And now about sense:
In my room 10 Doors: All fake and one drawn. If you go to my room - you do not go out;)
My two girlfriends make you just jijling!

Despite the extraordinary behavior - the effect was quite predictable: it is enough to take two and one Yesenins Robespierre.
This movie - this is a demonstration of how using Socionics can lift the atmosphere of dialogue. Note: I did it, I'll make more! With the help of Socionics and I do not like pearls! People who have previously looked dull and inconspicuous earlier - suddenly liberated and open to them previously unknown talents, and can - do "fool" - who want it. Compel to behave irresponsibility. Of course, I'm good, so I will do only good, but evil people do not will not pass to my precious knowledge!

Mirror relations: ENFJ - INFP (Hamlet - Yesenin) Video

Cast: Yesenin: Anastasia
Hamlet: Victor S. Yavorosky
On this video you can see how much these people get free, as they talk freely on various topics. Not for nothing do they say: "In the quadras of a special atmosphere of free communication" - that is the same case! Also interesting is the fact that each party to any view expressed by the interlocutor is from the same standpoint alternative interpretation, that is: "Mirror, partner." The very fact that it happens - once again proves the efficiency my version of Socionics!

This clipping from the movie "Mirror relationship Hamlet Esenin"
It paid attention to the domination of society Balzac. Highlighted these points: as the excessive dominance of the value of money (Te) and on other aspects, respectively - an inadequate decline in other aspects. This does not bode well for our society - and this is a big problem!
The very existence of society's problems - is (one of many) of circumstantial evidence proving that Balzac - the dominant type in the world.

Esenin Or Hamlet? Frankly, at the time of shooting the video - I thought that it Hamlet. Well, that did not spill the beans ))) I Socionics, which explicitly states that can mistake. And that's why I - steeper than the rest, who allegedly believed that "can not mistake" ))))
But I will draw conclusions about what pre-release version at the first 5 minutes - gives a high accuracy. However - it all fits into the stated statistics: approximal typing gives about 10% of cases more often than typing error in the protocol.
It also makes sense to discuss it for a gain on the Si. Maybe it's - surprise of the subtypes. For example, the fact that she was fond of dancing in it - is more developed understanding of the aesthetics of the surrounding space. Nonetheless version of Dumas was also rejected because it also gave a clear understanding about themselves that she had Ne - antivalues function and behaves as a typical restrictive function. Also in favor of it Esenin not Hamlet, found signs of pain in an interview he was a member: "So, as my parents told me that dancing - it's not profession - the case had to throw ...". As part of my methodology, which uses RD as in this video shows clear signs of positivism and Questim(which is not typical of Dumas). (Now, I think, and why was I then took it into her head in Hamlet Typing? - Probably I'm addicted to some type Hamlets that Brown women - like it (I have 3 of these. Among them: Irma Vitovkaya))

Here is the translation of my presentation speech!

Quote

Let's start your lesson using the Calculator Reynin’s dichotomy. First you must enter values for some of you suggested scales. Values can be entered in two ways: using the slider or by manually clicking on the special cell. Values choose wisely! Remember that each percentage exhibited exactly the implied warranty of Socionics, which he claimed Typing exact percentage of cases. Explain each meaningful percentage of what and where you have been took - because that is the way to achieve accurate typing.
After entering the values - click the "Calculate" - and the program will give you the answer.
Note that moving the slider - you can not establish the accuracy higher than 95%. This can only be done by clicking on a special cell, as if hinting that achieve accuracy above 95% - is not easy
Now, I'll demonstrate how to increase the number of defined dichotomies as well as their accuracy is achieved by improving the overall accuracy of the final version - the main advantage of using dichotomy Reynin’s!

This man is an artist most famous for inventing the mobile. A large number of his artworks are mobiles, and when I was going through his exhibit, it was most interesting to me the many varied ways in which the mobiles are balanced. He also created a variety of stabiles, toys, and jewelry. An impression one can get from viewing a large collection of his art is a sort of tinkering spirit he had with them. Many of his art works seem to have been sort of cobbled together with whatever odds and ends he could scrap up.

As for his type, from what I tried to discern, he doesn't seem particularly Fe valuing. Also, the qualities he describes things in seems to be best related to Se. This would mean he would be some Se ego in the gamma quadra. ESFp or ISFj? Temperament now seems to be the best differentiating factor. But, which? Well... from what I can identify... rational? But, I've been rather wrong in making distinctions between the various temperaments before.

Being born before the 20th century means it is rather hard to find video of him. That transcript of an interview is the best I could dig up. I read that entire thing.

The impression I get of him from that interview is that he doesn't seem to be a particularly deep thinking individual. Also he seems to describe things in a way I think relates best to Se. I tried using that IE Semantics Research page as reference.

He seemed to mention about likes and dislikes at some amount in the interview. His likes/dislikes and other peoples. But, I'm not sure how significant that actually is. If I had to mark it as significant, I would pin it down as a Fi view of things. But, I'm not sure.

Yeah, I didn't get all that much from the interview. From reading it, though, I'm surprised the guy from the interview is the same guy who said the quotes below.

Quotes
"How can art be realized?

Out of volumes, motion, spaces bounded by the great space, the universe.

Out of different masses, tight, heavy, middling—indicated by variations of size or color—directional line—vectors which represent speeds, velocities, accelerations, forces, etc. . . .—these directions making between them meaningful angles, and senses, together defining one big conclusion or many.

Spaces, volumes, suggested by the smallest means in contrast to their mass, or even including them, juxtaposed, pierced by vectors, crossed by speeds.

Nothing at all of this is fixed.

Each element able to move, to stir, to oscillate, to come and go in its relationships with the other elements in its universe.

It must not be just a fleeting moment but a physical bond between the varying events in life.

Not extractions,

But abstractions

Abstractions that are like nothing in life except in their manner of reacting."
(That's one entire quote from Abstraction-Création, Art Non Figuratif, no. 1, 1932.)

"The simplest forms in the universe are the sphere and the circle. I represent them by disks and then I vary them... spheres of different sizes, densities, colours and volumes, floating in space, traversing clouds, sprays of water, currents of air, viscosities and odours – of the greatest variety and disparity."

"The universe is real but you can't see it. You have to imagine it. Once you imagine it, you can be realistic about reproducing it."

"I paint with shapes."

"When an artist explains what he is doing, he usually has to do one of two things: either scrap what he has explained, or make his work fit in with the explanation."

"Each element can move, shift or sway back & forth in a changing relation to each of the other elements in the universe. Thus, they reveal not only isolated moments, but a physical law or variation among the elements of life. Not extractions, but abstractions.
1. How many combinations exist of three fingers? (One hand, a sequence of three fingers - ignored)
2. Given the message that is encoded by 5 bits. Total massages may be 2: S1 = 00 000; S2 = 11111. The probability of true transmitting one bit of information 0.9. (1) Calculate the probability that the received message will be INTERPRETED correctly. (2) Message received S = 10000. Determine how likely the message S1 = 00 000?
3. Given a sequence of 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34 ... What is this? Continue range of up to 15 members of the sequence. To display a table of values. Compare the value and an/an-1 and (SQRT(5)+1)/2
4. Write an algorithm for Pascal program that hoped to be the value function, factorial, depending on the introduced quantity of factorial. For example: Input: 5. Output: 5! = 120
5. How many of the segments can be connected by a multitude of n - of points ( the maximum possible number of segments, no three points lie on a straight line)?
6. The concept of derivative in mathematics.
7. The law of diminishing marginal productivity (utility) in the economy.
10. Bring 5 examples of creatures that could be a transitional species in the evolution of each other. Example: duck flippers are kind of transition between the rear fins about the walrus and ordinary bird legs.
11. What is the exoplanet in astronomy? Tell us a little about the difficulties faced by astronomers to identify them?

I had been horribly supervised IEE You can see as much as he writhes on my supervision! Perhaps the most valuable in this video, I find that this instance of the representatives of the TIM Huxley - very frankly makes itself felt, "where he had a sore." Typically Hucks talking to me put the "Masks of invulnerability" - an extremely tense so as not to be inadequate - in reply to my natural psychic influence. Because of what the supervision does not look like the rule rather intense. Only under the close supervision of advanced specialist Socionics could make out the audit. This "Example Dude" - not like that. He shows evrything inside himself!. Frankly ALL! Because of this, according to my calculations approximate - observation of the facts supervision crush on my part - can be considered in this case - 3 times more often than I used to see them normally.
PS: I am very grateful to my friend, "Mr. Rabbit" for taking part in my interview, and demonstrated how much more dangerous and conflict-can be socionic relations
"SUPERVISION"
PPS: It was very natural interviews, acting without fraud, dramatization, etc. ie "Pure experiment"
PPPS: I do not aim at public humiliation of the individual in this video. The main task EFFEKTNOSTI I gave this video - it's promotion of Socionics and no more

За осонову методологии была взято описания Гуленко Иррациональность- Рациональность на физическом уровне http://www.socioniko...es/rat-irr.html А также методика В. Миронова из статьи СМИПЛ №1 2006 г: "Как типировать не задавая вопросов

The methodology was taken from Goulenko Perceiving - Judging: Physical level. And also Mironov's methodology: СМИПЛ №1 2006 г: "How to typing without questions"

Rational types differ from irrational bodily constitution. The figures are usually rational taut and angular, the figure is irrational - sleek and smooth. Posture in the first - straight and slender, the second - tempered, not having an internal "core".

Rational - these are people who are always on our toes, always ready to go. To relax, they need to do a lot of effort over himself. Relaxation - a characteristic state is irrational. They make an effort with the opposite purpose - to tighten and do what is necessary. Thus, RATIONAL works equally as well irratsional - waves.

Movement is rational - discrete, that is linear, clearly separated from each other mikropauzami. Irratsional moves smoothly, without abrupt stop. His body is flexible, uncommitted. Overall irratsional moves more naturally and plastic, and RATIONAL - mechanistic and directed. Body streamlining sandwiched in many places, badly bent.

Lend Me Some Brain?

Hey guys! An introvert I hold sexual relations with has me stumped. Not sexually, but in understanding...anything about him.He is indecisive, great listener, conventional-yet he enjoys my oddity (Im an entp). He wants marriage, I want become a clown, move to Las Vegas, and sprint around slugging streetgirls. Or travel and get lost again, possible death involved, but just enough to motivate my survival, and in result have a different perspective on life, and thus entertain friends--blah blah.He is a conservative pot smoking Catholic, I guess, and I am a libertarian artsy/innovative, bulls and bears stock person.I try to call him every day, because I have to tell him about how great I did within that24 hours, and he finds that excessive. So, I compromised by sending him lengthy text messages about The Entire Scope of Life at the moment, and he tells me to "settle down" but yet I make him laugh and Im always fun, so. I further narrowed it to one page texts, yuck. The odd facet with him is that he has a wide range of friends. I have noticed a pattern in my attracting these odd (in my perspective) introverts. They are like the raiders seeking the Lost Arc, and Im the Arc. So they come and act extroverted, ask me questions, admire my Arc-ness, then they run off and are Very private, then they come back, everything is golden, then they get private. I am very fast paced, its like Sonic the Hedgehog, being me, meets a bada-- Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh. They do not speak much about themselves, hold back their emotions ( which is fun to try to find what makes them emotional), and never can pick which lane they want on the road. So, Im in the HIV, no, HOV lane, ( one of my fine car-jokes) and they are like, swerving every lane, never concluding on wat they want in life. Frustrating, because I know exactly everything that I want, which is pretty much Everything in life on Earth. But anyway, they are indirect, tactful, and these two guys are both in sales. Understand people enough to get what they want and nothing more, and are in the present moment mostly, never lending thought to much anything. Technical. Is this an Istp? Are they istp's? They think I am so cool and yet they dislike the unconventionality that breeds that cool. This puzzles me, and makes me think they are not good cranial dot-connectors. Matchstick neurotransmitters. So, there is this weird feel to the relation. They like how individualistic I am yet they dont, they are individualistic but then they arent, they are wishy washy and indirect, extremely considerate and caring, and well, this one drinks a lot and parties even more than a lot. Anyway, wth? I have no clue about this personality type, and why this type is attracted to me. Because my arguements with is type are frequent because 1) they are private and indirect, and I demand direct and communication for understanding-but have to ffight for that communication due to that privacy they have. 2) are they unconventional or conventional? They tend to think that I am reactionary in my points of view, because my viewpoints are so radically unusual than the norm, so they plant questions to confirm that I am reactionary, but I am not, I just walk on a different road than the societal norm. Thats annoying to both of us! Because I can see how ridiculous their thoughts are on who I am because if their question-plantings, and they dont muster an emotional reaction that would confirm their little reasonings of me just being a contrarian or whatnot. Its sincerely annoying. Then they are vain and party animals! Then they dont like talking and arguing. I think I have a huge blindspot, something I am missing, that my brain cannot wrap around. Would anyone lend me brain.I am so so confused. Who are these guys? What would you think?Tha

Spoilers coming. You have been warned.

Some citations for the good beginning. Part of Arya's POV, so that is her perspective, not just same narration as everywhere. I'm thinking Sensation, but maybe not...

Panic gripped her throat like a giant’s hand. Arya could not have spoken if her life had hung on it. Calm as still water, she mouthed silently.

As Godwyn reached for her, Arya moved. Quick as a snake. She leaned to her left, letting his fingers brush her arm, spinning around him. Smooth as summer silk. By the time he got himself turned, she was sprinting down the alley. Swift as a deer. The septa was screeching at her. Arya slid between legs as thick and white as marble columns, bounded to her feet, bowled into Prince Tommen and hopped over him when he sat down hard and said “Oof,” spun away from the second guard, and then she was past them all, running full out.

She heard shouts, then pounding footsteps, closing behind her. She dropped and rolled. The red cloak went careening past her, stumbling. Arya sprang back to her feet. She saw a window above her, high and narrow, scarcely more than an arrow slit. Arya leapt, caught the sill, pulled herself up. She held her breath as she wriggled through. Slippery as an eel. Dropping to the floor in front of a startled scrubwoman, she hopped up, brushed the rushes off her clothes, and was off again, out the door and along a long hall, down a stair, across a hidden courtyard, around a corner and over a wall and through a low narrow window into a pitch-dark cellar. The sounds grew more and more distant behind her.

Arya was out of breath and quite thoroughly lost. She was in for it now if they had recognized her, but she didn’t think they had. She’d moved too fast. Swift as a deer.

She hunkered down in the dark against a damp stone wall and listened for the pursuit, but the only sound was the beating of her own heart and a distant drip of water. Quiet as a shadow, she told herself. She wondered where she was. When they had first come to King’s Landing, she used to have bad dreams about getting lost in the castle. Father said the Red Keep was smaller than Winterfell, but in her dreams it had been immense, an endless stone maze with walls that seemed to shift and change behind her. She would find herself wandering down gloomy halls past faded tapestries, descending endless circular stairs, darting through courtyards or over bridges, her shouts echoing unanswered. In some of the rooms the red stone walls would seem to drip blood, and nowhere could she find a window. Sometimes she would hear her father’s voice, but always from a long way off, and no matter how hard she ran after it, it would grow fainter and fainter, until it faded to nothing and Arya was alone in the dark.

It was very dark right now, she realized. She hugged her bare knees tight against her chest and shivered. She would wait quietly and count to ten thousand. By then it would be safe for her to come creeping back out and find her way home.

By the time she had reached eighty-seven, the room had begun to lighten as her eyes adjusted to the blackness. Slowly the shapes around her took on form. Huge empty eyes stared at her hungrily through the gloom, and dimly she saw the jagged shadows of long teeth. She had lost the count. She closed her eyes and bit her lip and sent the fear away. When she looked again, the monsters would be gone. Would never have been. She pretended that Syrio was beside her in the dark, whispering in her ear. Calm as still water, she told herself. Strong as a bear. Fierce as a wolverine. She opened her eyes again.

The monsters were still there, but the fear was gone.

More of that…

She plunged through the kitchens and buttery, blind with panic, weaving between cooks and potboys. A baker’s helper stepped in front of her, holding a wooden tray. Arya bowled her over, scattering fragrant loaves of fresh-baked bread on the floor. She heard shouting behind her as she spun around a portly butcher who stood gaping at her with a cleaver in his hands. His arms were red to the elbow.

All that Syrio Forel had taught her went racing through her head. Swift as a deer. Quiet as a shadow. Fear cuts deeper than swords. Quick as a snake. Calm as still water. Fear cuts deeper than swords. Strong as a bear. Fierce as a wolverine. Fear cuts deeper than swords. The man who fears losing has already lost. Fear cuts deeper than swords. Fear cuts deeper than swords. Fear cuts deeper than swords. The grip of her wooden sword was slick with sweat, and Arya was breathing hard when she reached the turret stair. For an instant she froze. Up or down? Up would take her to the covered bridge that spanned the small court to the Tower of the Hand, but that would be the way they’d expect her to go, for certain. Never do what they expect, Syrio once said. Arya went down, around and around, leaping over the narrow stone steps two and three at a time. She emerged in a cavernous vaulted cellar, surrounded by casks of ale stacked twenty feet tall. The only light came through narrow slanting windows high in the wall.

The cellar was a dead end. There was no way out but the way she had come in. She dare not go back up those steps, but she couldn’t stay here, either. She had to find her father and tell him what had happened. Her father would protect her.

Arya thrust her wooden sword through her belt and began to climb, leaping from cask to cask until she could reach the window. Grasping the stone with both hands, she pulled herself up. The wall was three feet thick, the window a tunnel slanting up and out. Arya wriggled toward daylight. When her head reached ground level, she peered across the bailey to the Tower of the Hand.

And another one:

“Stay away!” Her fingers closed around Needle’s hilt.

“I says, come.” He grabbed her arm, hard.

Everything Syrio Forel had ever taught her vanished in a heartbeat. In that instant of sudden terror, the only lesson Arya could remember was the one Jon Snow had given her, the very first.

She stuck him with the pointy end, driving the blade upward with a wild, hysterical strength.

Sergei Rachmaninov

Read his bio: http://www.classicalnotes.net/classics2/rach2.html

Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninoff (Russian: Сергей Васильевич Рахманинов) [1] (Russian pronunciation: [sʲɪrˈɡʲej rɐxˈmanʲɪnəf]; 1 April 1873 – 28 March 1943) was a Russian[2] composer, pianist, and conductor. Rachmaninoff is widely considered one of the finest pianists of his day and, as a composer, one of the last great representatives of Romanticism in Russian classical music.[3] Early influences of Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, and other Russian composers gave way to a thoroughly personal idiom that included a pronounced lyricism, expressive breadth, structural ingenuity, and a tonal palette of rich, distinctive orchestral colors.[4] The piano is featured prominently in Rachmaninoff's compositional output. He made a point of using his own skills as a performer to explore fully the expressive possibilities of the instrument. Even in his earliest works he revealed a sure grasp of idiomatic piano writing and a striking gift for melody.

Evan Dando

Evan Dando is the vocalist and guitarist of the pop punk band the lemonheads. Im wondering if hes been typed by this site, if he has Im sorry, but theres an error in accesing the page "types". Heres a good bio from allmusic.com

Quote

by Stephen Thomas Erlewine

The Lemonheads' evolution from post-Hüsker Dü hardcore punk rockers to teenage heartthrobs is one of the strangest sagas in alternative music. Initially, the group was a punk-pop trio formed by three teenage Boston suburbanites, but over the years, the band became a vehicle for Evan Dando. Blessed with good looks and a warm, sweet voice, Dando became a teen idol in the early '90s, when Nirvana's success made alternative bands commercially viable. While his simple, catchy songs were instantly accessible, they tended to hide the more subversive nature of his lyrics, as well as his gift for offbeat covers and his devotion to country-rock father Gram Parsons. After developing his signature blend of pop, punk, and country-rock on several independent records in the late '80s, Dando moved the Lemonheads to Atlantic Records in 1990. Two years later, It's a Shame About Ray made the group into media sensations, as Dando's face appeared on music and teen magazines across America and Britain. Though the Lemonheads were poised to become superstars, the band never quite found the right breakthrough single, and their popularity peaked in the early '90s. Around the same time, Dando descended into severe drug abuse that he curbed by the 1996 release of Car Button Cloth. However, he had missed his chance at stardom -- though the group retained their cult, much of their audience had already slipped away.

The son of a Boston attorney and a fashion model, Evan Dando (vocals, guitar, drums) formed the Lemonheads with his high-school classmates Ben Deily (vocals, guitar, drums) and Jesse Peretz (bass). Initially, the group was called the Whelps, but by the time the band made their debut EP, Laughing All the Way to the Cleaners, they had changed their name to the Lemonheads. Recorded the day after their high-school graduation, Laughing All the Way to the Cleaners was released on the group's own label, Huh-Bag. The EP gained the attention of the Boston-based indie label Taang!, which signed the band later that same year. By the beginning of 1987, Doug Trachten had become the band's full-time drummer, leaving Dando and Deily to share guitar and vocal duties. Hate Your Friends, a speedy hardcore LP that fell halfway between Hüsker Dü and the Replacements, was released in 1987. Trachten left after the record's release, and the band made 1988's Creator with Blake Babies drummer John Strohm.

Released in 1989, Lick expanded the Lemonheads' cult, thanks to a loud power pop cover of Suzanne Vega's "Luka." Following the release of Lick, Deily split and eventually formed the Pods and then Varsity Drag. Dando briefly played with the Blake Babies before forming a new version of the Lemonheads with drummer David Ryan. The Lemonheads signed with Atlantic Records in 1990, releasing Lovey, their most accomplished, melodic, and eclectic record to date, later that year. Dando's interest in the band began to wander the following year, as he recorded the solo EP Favorite Spanish Dishes. In 1992, he recorded It's a Shame About Ray, which featured Blake Baby Juliana Hatfield on bass and harmony vocals.

It's a Shame About Ray would prove to be the Lemonheads' breakthrough album, but it didn't become a hit until a cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson" was added to the album several months after its initial release. By the end of 1992, the record had gained momentum, and Dando was being touted as the next alternative star. By the fall release of 1993's Come on Feel the Lemonheads, Dando had become a minor celebrity, appearing in gossip columns frequently and hanging out with fellow Gen-X icons, including actors like Johnny Depp and musicians like Hole's Courtney Love. His fame was large enough to spark the creation of an anti-Dando fanzine, I Hate Evan Dando. Recorded with the band's new bassist Nic Dalton, Come on Feel was hyped as the album that would make the band superstars, but Dando's antics received more press than the record received airplay, even though "Into Your Arms" nearly scraped the pop charts. During the press junket to promote the album, he confessed to heavy use of hard drugs, including an escapade where he smoked enough crack to ruin his voice for several weeks. His addiction deepened throughout 1994, and he was frequently seen in a drug-induced haze on Oasis' fall tour of Britain. Early in 1995, he launched a solo tour of the U.S. with Epic Soundtracks, after which he played the Glastonbury Festival, where he was booed for appearing several hours late.

Dando sobered up during the remaining months of 1995, though he hadn't completely stopped drinking by the time he recorded Car Button Cloth with a new lineup of the Lemonheads featuring former Dinosaur Jr. drummer Murph, guitarist John Strohm, and bassist Bill Gibson. The album was greeted with mixed reviews upon its fall 1996 release and failed to generate a hit single; furthermore, Dando launched no full-scale tour to support the album. Late the following year, the Lemonheads and Atlantic Records parted ways; Atlantic retained the rights for a greatest-hits album, which was released in mid-1998.

With the Lemonheads essentially broken-up, Dando kept a fairly low-profile in the years directly following the split from Atlantic. He reappeared for a solo tour in 2001 and then released the lowkey solo album Baby I'm Bored in 2003. Three years later, Dando had reunited the Lemonheads and in 2006 the band released a self-titled album that, while not a revelation, certainly sounded like a worthy follow-up to It's a Shame About Ray and Car Button Cloth. In 2009, inspired by years of mixtapes given to Dando by his friend and Butthole Surfers-leader Gibby Haynes, the Lemonheads released the covers album Varshons.

Type this person

1. What do your friends/family value most about you? Which personal characteristics stand out the most in their eyes? Do you think they're right?

Most people's summary of me is "He's very intelligent." That's about it. I wouldn't necessarily describe myself as intelligent, more cunning and a quick study.

2. What characteristics do you tend to look for in others? What sorts of people do you gravitate towards as friends and why?

Initially I want someone who has a similar age/socioeconomic background to mine. They shouldn't be excessively negative/serious/aggressive. Humor and cleverness is very attractive. If I make a joke relating an obscure line from a movie to someone, I prefer people who can grasp that relation. Laughing constantly at everything is cool too. I'm not good at maintaining relationships, so I prefer people who initiate a lot and make me feel safe and comfortable that they still like me.

3. How do you form an opinion about a person after you get familiar with them? What qualities are you most attentive to?

I base my opinions on their behaviors/words towards myself and others. Not so sure on the qualities, I suppose a general attitude of uptightness vs chillness.

4. How do you react when someone is late? How do you deal with delays? How punctual are you about appointments and deadlines? Are you strict in holding others to such standards?

I become increasingly annoyed. I'm pretty punctual (read: exactly on time, neither early nor late 95% of the time). I don't usually whine about it with others but internally can be bothered.

5. What does "comfort, coziness, and convenience" mean to you? Are these identical or different concepts in your experience?
What do you typically do to achieve a sense of coziness? Under what conditions do you derive a sense of being most comfortable?

Sounds like a downy commercial. Those are clearly different concepts. I'm not very adept at achieving "coziness". I suppose a blanket and a properly heated room would be nice. Not being hungry/thirsty would help. I'm rarely "cozy".

6. Do you always know what apparel suits you; if so, how?
What primary criteria do you use for choosing to buy particular clothing items?

Nope. I like it to look interesting to me and be made of materials that are easy to clean/healthy to wear.

7. How important to you is it that people compliment your appearance? How do you react to criticism in this regard?

I certainly enjoy it but don't expect it. I tend to take criticism personally since I'm not terribly confident in my appearance.

8. Do you often give aesthetic advice to others, like what clothes they should wear? Why?
How do you respond to this kind of advice from others? Why?

Never. I typically say thanks and disregard it. I like my random disheveled appearance.

9. Do you pay close attention to how your colleagues are dressed?
Do you readily notice changes in the appearance of your friends and family members?

I notice occasionally but wouldn't say I pay close attention. I'm not terribly observant.

10. Describe your favorite fragrance. How does it smell and why did you specifically choose it?

I don't have a specific favorite fragrance. Freshly baked chocolate chip cookies comes to mind. It smells "om nom nom" and reminds me of deliciousness.

11. Imagine that your computer, TV, or washing machine breaks. What do you do first? How do you respond in general to situations where something suddenly breaks down at the worst possible moment?

I fiddle around with it trying to get it to work. If I can't, I google the symptoms for a fix. I tend to get very annoyed and work tirelessly until the item is working again and/or replaced.

12. You were asked by the management at your job to complete a certain project or task. For whatever reason, you didn't or couldn't complete the given assignment. How do you feel in this situation? How often do you find yourself in situations like this?

I would feel bad, concerned about being seen negatively by my superiors and/or possibly losing my job. This has never happened to me.

13. You're short on cash and it's going to be a full week before the next paycheck. What do you do? How often does this scenario happen to you?

Get on the avenue and start hooking. But seriously I'd just use credit cards or sell some junk on craigslist. This situation has never happened to me. I'm very good at financial management.

14. What is 'work' in your eyes? Why is work necessary (or unnecessary)? By which criteria do you gauge your own job performance?

Work typically means exchanging time for financial benefit. I enjoy financial benefit, and thus I need to work. I try to do make as little effort as necessary to maintain my preferred level of pay/advancement.

15. What is the relationship between quality vs. quantity? Do you pay attention to quality; if so, how do you evaluate the quality of an item you intend to purchase?

I prefer quality to quantity. Quality in items is important, as is value for the money. I first expand my possibilities to as many items as possible, then narrow them down by analysis of features/cost/reviews/etc. until I determine the best value.

16. What kind of job would be interesting to you? Describe it in detail.

I would like to analyze information over long periods of time, and provide advice from the sidelines when I feel it would be useful. I don't want any deadlines or pressure, and limited required interaction with people. On the other hand I don't want to be completely isolated, and still want to see people and preferably spend time traveling to various outdoor locations for some sort of surveying or something.

17. How long does it take you to integrate with a new group of people? Is there anything you do to help facilitate this?
How do you know when a group has accepted you?

A long time. I joke around and demonstrate my intelligence. I assume they've accepted with me when they initiate conversations and act positively towards me.

18. How often do you engage in arguments and why? Is there a difference between a dispute and debate?
Can you admit to being wrong? Is this difficult for you?

I hate arguments and find them useless and unproductive. Dispute and debate are synonyms so I guess not. Any dispute/debate where emotion/personal attacks are involved is to be avoided. straightforward conversations logically defending viewpoints are okay unless they turn into the former.

I very rarely and very grudgingly can admit to being wrong. I'm usually not

19. Do you tend to be the first to apologize? Why?
Do you get into arguments just for the sake it? Why?

Usually not, unless I clearly misunderstood/behaved incorrectly. Usually I believe the other person has been unreasonable and it's their problem to fix the relationship.
No, I hate arguments.

20. Your loved one appears to be unhappy. He/she is frowning, sullen, and not very responsive.
How do you react to such a situation? What do you do?

Mess around/joke/harrass them until they laugh/smile/get pissed off or display some type of reaction.

21. Can you tell the mood of others? How do you tell it?

I base this entirely on their external indicators/statements. I am completely unable to identify their true feelings and often mistake their intent when they are joking/not joking.

22. Can you change a person's mood? How do you do that?

I attempt to joke/cheer them up and run away if it doesn't work.

23. Which is more important: to love or to be loved? Why? How do you feel in a situation where your love has no response? How do you behave?

Being loved sounds much more useful since I generally like everyone as it is. Unrequited love is miserable and makes me feel terrible/depressed.

24. How can you see, feel, and understand that a person likes or dislikes you? How often do you make mistakes in evaluating this?
If someone tells you that he/she likes you, how do you respond?

I base this entirely on their external indicators/statements. I am completely unable to identify their true feelings and often mistake their intent when they are joking/not joking. I have a hard time responding to being liked, I enjoy it internally, but tend to laugh it off/respond quickly with something noncommital, and move on.

25. What is a spiritually harmonious human to you? What is a dissonant or non-spiritual one? Which do you consider yourself?

I do not identify with/understand these concepts at all. "Spiritual" people seem super flaky to me.

26. How did you spend your last holiday (such as celebrated birthday, New Years, etc.)?

Holed up at home, watched movies, and waited for it to pass while trying not to get depressed.

Questions, Quandaries, and Queries About Personality Type

From a set of interviews with Lenore Thomson, originally from here. Applicable to general typology—especially Socionics apologetics. Found it quite interesting and well-articulated, resonant with many of my own views. Thank CPig for finding it.

JM: Let's leap right into the heart of the matter. What is a psychological type?

LTB: I think I'd like to start with what a psychological type isn't. I want to be up front about how I understand type theory, because otherwise what I say about it won't make much sense.

I don't believe that type refers to a person's innate personality characteristics. It isn't the causal source of a person's needs or the behaviors designed to meet them.

Rather, type is the outcome of habituated choices -- our accustomed orientation to incoming information. Of course, some of our choices are going to favor our temperament, in so far as temperament means our basic chemistry, but knowing our type won't tell us what job we're best suited to do or what kind of marriage partner we ought to seek. Type tells us how we generally adapt, particularly when a situation is unfamiliar. It tells us what we're most likely to recognize as important about a situation, what that means to us, and what strategies we use to manage it.

The universe, after all, is a blooming, buzzing, ever-changing field of information. We can't take in everything that exists. Every situation requires that we make choices. If we recognize something as important, we're setting aside other things as less important, or screening them out altogether. This isn't a sign of dysfunction. It's the way we're made. The very purpose of having a nervous system is to narrow our receptive capacity to data that ensures our comfort and survival.

From time immemorial, various temperament theories have attempted to classify human personality in these terms, assuming that people have different kinds of nervous systems, which give rise to different kinds of emotional dispositions. For example, some people enjoy risk, others seek harmony; some people want responsibility, others enjoy change. The validity of these classification systems, however, is undermined by the corollary assumption that people's behaviors issue directly from their affective needs, reflecting the natural way such needs can be met.

C. G. Jung, the analyst who came up with the theory of psychological types, objected to this assumption. He was loathe to credit people's choices entirely to affective disposition, as though people could be pegged by a label, and consciousness were an expedient illusion. He pointed out, in fact, that when our behaviors do issue from immediate needs outside our conscious control, we don't identify these actions with preference or authenticity. Rather, we feel precisely as though we're out of control. Therefore, Jung focused on the part of the psyche that is making this judgment -- the "I" that results from making free-will decisions, the choices that make us feel like "ourselves."

A type test is trying to get at these free-will decisions -- do you see yourself as cool-headed or warm-hearted; do you like deadlines or do they get in the way? These choices can't be traced backwards into core emotional needs that demand behavioral compliance. Rather, they point ahead -- to goals that we set ourselves in a particular time and place, the ways in which we deliberately narrow our receptive field to information that we value.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

JM: Thank you for getting at what seems to me two chief concerns of Isabel Myers, the inventor of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. She emphasized that her questionnaire does not indicate skill and was horrified when a bank misused it to fire all its employees preferring intuition. She also insisted that type knowledge could help people become aware of more choices so that they could "cross from the natural to the appropriate" (Gifts Differing, 1980, p. 118).

LTB: I like that phrasing -- crossing from the natural to the appropriate. There is little question that we naturally value options that ensure our comfort and survival. Our choices will normally favor our felt strengths and the things we like to do. But what makes us recognizably human is the fact that value accrues to more than issues of pleasure and survival. It's our capacity to override our immediate affective needs for the sake of principles and ideals that enables us to establish a sense of self with a narrative history. To credit our principles or ideals to innate disposition sets up a social caste system rather than a natural taxonomy. This becomes clear when type theory is employed to locate people's ostensible places in the institutions we already take for granted.

The purpose of type theory is to make us aware of the self-experience we ordinarily inhabit. It takes us outside that self-experience to get a vantage point on habituated strategies of adaptation. Thus, we can see ourselves more objectively, understanding what our choices say about our direction, our self-imposed limitations, and the cultural environment we take for granted.

It may be noted that a sense of self is a cognitive phenomenon. This is why Jung's theory doesn't traffic in social stereotypes. Rather, it recognizes four cognitive standpoints, which exist in all of us. Jung called these standpoints functions, naming them as Sensation, Intuition, Feeling, and Thinking. These terms don't refer, in any way, to the entire human psyche. They don't mean senses, imagination, emotion, and intellect.

Rather, they refer to the kinds of information the cognitive mind derives from our bodily and emotional experiences -- respectively, aesthetics, symbols, ideals, and concepts.

In Jung's theory, aesthetics and symbols are opposites; you can't clarify what's immediately apparent (Sensation) at the same time you're inferring what isn't yet apparent (Intuition). In the same way, ideals and concepts are opposites; you can't determine something's value to you personally (Feeling) at the same time you're classifying it impersonally (Thinking). One is always choosing between these opposites, granting one more importance than the other.

To have a psychological type means that one of these four cognitive standpoints has become habituated. We're less aware of options connected with its opposite, and the other standpoints are subordinated to our dominant one, supporting our goals, or balancing them with information that is less immediately conscious.

To some extent, of course, our preferred orientation takes shape naturally, as we experience our felt strengths and find options to express them. But this is different from saying that type is innately determined. At birth, the brain has neurological potential for many different environmental options, and it structures itself on the basis of our actual choices -- about where to focus our attention, what we like and dislike, and what meaning we assign to our experiences.

Although these choices will certainly favor our chemistry, our proclivity to anxiety or aggression, our interests, our fears, and our abilities, they also reflect the expectations of others, the possibilities we recognize or create for ourselves, and the gradual development of our character -- the standards we maintain, even when they *don't* favor our immediate affective needs.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

JM: Your writing about young adult type preference changing as a result of relating to a significant other helped me understand the tension in my marriage at age 19. I felt forced to function as a Thinker to balance my husband's dominant Feeling preference. Although I identify as a lifelong INFP, my MBTI ® score on the Thinking-Feeling dichotomy has never been clear, hovering at the midpoint. Maybe others with similar experience will send questions that you can deal with in a future column, especially regarding what is innate.

LTB: This is what I mean by type reflecting an accustomed adaptive orientation, even when it's not entirely compatible with a self-image or a genuine issue of temperament. To ascribe this to type falsification implies that one has an innately determined type, but I believe that type results at odds with habituated strategies can give one a very good idea of what a person is doing, right now, to adapt to a particular environment. That kind of adaptation isn't necessarily false; it may reflect choices made for the sake of an authentic ideal or principle, whose price has become too high.

As far as I'm concerned, the only aspect of type likely to reflect a person's innate disposition is what Jung referred to as the attitudes, Extraversion and Introversion. Our dominant standpoint will always reflect the attitude that comes naturally to us. However, Jung contended that the vast majority of people have only a slight preference for either, and, for these types, cultural influence plays a greater role.

I also believe that we're likely to innately prefer a left- or right-brain approach to information, which implicates the J and P attitudes in the MBTI system.

Because of the attitudes, each function has two different ways of expression, resulting in eight function-attitudes -- Introverted and Extraverted versions of Sensation, Intuition, Feeling, and Thinking. As implied, my view is that Introverted and Extraverted versions of the same function come at information from opposing brain hemispheres.

When dominant and auxiliary functions implicate the right hemisphere, the type is usually outwardly adaptable to novelty and change, but this is balanced by a reliance on principles and values that are understood to be universal. In the MBTI system, these are the P types, whose preferred Extraverted function is either Sensation or Intuition.

When dominant and auxiliary functions implicate the left hemisphere, the type is usually invested in a collective outward charter that serves as a uniting lingua franca, but this is balanced by an inner world of impressions and alternatives that are understood to be individual. In the MBTI system, these are the J types, whose preferred Extraverted function is either Thinking or Feeling.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

JM: Doesn't this brain map suggest that type preference depends on the inborn structure of the nervous system?

LTB: The only purpose of the brain map is to show how type preference relates to what the brain actually does. It doesn't mean that preference is a predetermined neurological structure, and it doesn't mean that you can drill into the cranium and locate the functions, cradled happily in their separate quadrants. What I'm trying to indicate is that tasks associated with the various functions implicate different parts of the brain.

For example, if the left frontal lobe of the brain is anesthetized, discrimination and executive judgment are rendered impossible. The frontal cortex is crucial to the tasks we associate with Extraverted Thinking and Extraverted Feeling.

If the right back hemisphere is anesthetized instead, executive judgment remains possible, but it occurs without reference to real subjective experience, spatial awareness, and contextual evaluation -- aspects associated with Introverted Thinking and Introverted Feeling. Without this input, the left brain simply fabricates whatever appears to "explain" how consequence is related to cause.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

JM: One of the advantages of the brain map is that it helps to explain why the Extraverted and Introverted orientation of each function differ so dramatically. You characterize this difference as left brain constraint vs. right brain immediacy.

LTB: It seems to me that Jung was grappling with the distinction between Extraverted and Introverted functional orientation at a time when the brain hemispheres weren't so well understood. We know now that the left brain is largely responsible for maintaining a consistent world view, and the right brain is responsible for recognizing novelty. The brain map shows that each function is capable of doing either.

For example, Extraverted Sensation, which implicates the right brain, is concerned with direct experience, whereas Introverted Sensation, which implicates the left, is concerned with maintaining categories for experience.

Extraverted Thinking, which implicates the left brain, is concerned with reliable principles of behavior, which maintain order, whereas Introverted Thinking, which implicates the right brain, is concerned with consistent underlying processes, which allow one to predict change and flux.

The two hemispheres of the brain are designed to share their products across the corpus callosum; however, research indicates that cross-hemispheric communication can't take place diagonally. This would suggest that cognitive products associated with these diagonally related quadrants can't be simultaneously conscious.

Notice, for example, that Extraverted Thinking implicates the left front hemisphere, whereas Introverted Feeling implicates the right back hemisphere. Te and Fi are considered direct opposites for good neurological reason. In my view, this is why our least developed function is most likely to become conscious as we encounter its operation in others.

This is why I think it's a mistake to understand the functions as references to particular behavioral skills. They don't refer to abilities or actions; they refer to the structure of cognitive experience -- the way in which we reduce a constant bombardment of information to manageable forms that relate to our goals, beliefs, and preferences.

JM: Your approach to type as the characteristic way we appropriate experience and give it meaning changed my approach to teaching MBTI ® theory. Instead of saying a type uses a function, I try to convey the more difficult characteristic orientation of each type. This approach alleviates the quagmire of labeling behavior, such as watering plants, as using Sensing.

LTB: Jung didn't describe the functions as skills; he compared them to the four directions on a compass. Orientation, not innate ability. For example, you can make a reliable correlation between North and whale fishing, but orienting yourself by North won't give you the skills to work on a whale boat. Conversely, taking a job on a whale boat won't tell you how it feels to orient yourself by North.

Each function orients conscious awareness in terms of its own psychic content, just as the four directions orient us to different parts of the external landscape. To take a direction always leaves a path not taken. If you're going North, you're axiomatically not going South. Over time, favoring one orientation over another becomes habitual, assembling a consistent approach to the meaning of our experiences.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

JM: How do you understand what it means to differentiate a function? Some type theorists believe that type development means differentiating all eight function-attitudes.

LTB: When people talk about differentiating non-preferred functions, they usually mean engaging in specific behaviors that have become associated with the function's differentiated form. For example, an Intuitive type who strives to notice more details may describe the effort as "developing more Sensing." In general, there's no downside to this sort of thing. Stretching beyond our habituated comfort zone and learning to do new things keep us healthy and alive.

This isn't, however, what Jung meant by differentiation. As orientations, the functions are always operating; they're part of everyone's cognitive architecture. Every minute of every day, they're turning our bodily and emotional experiences into cognitive events. Differentiating one means that we've gained some willful control over the brain states involved in that aspect of our experience and are directing them to conscious ends.

The word "differentiation," after all, is analogical. Jung borrowed it from the field of developmental biology. Before a fertilized egg implants itself in the uterine wall, it's an undifferentiated cell mass. It's only after implantation and division that individual cells begin to differentiate. And what this means is that the cells become specialized, turning some genes off and others on, so that the cells are capable of supporting particular tasks in the growing embryo. For example, some cells differentiate for the operation of the heart, thereby becoming what the heart needs in order to grow and develop. Once a cell specializes, it acquires a "type," and it's suited to support a particular system of the body.

It seems to me that Jung borrowed these existing terms deliberately. Undifferentiated functions are like undifferentiated stem cells. That is, they're conflated with each other, without specialized purpose, operating in concert with our emotional needs. However, as a person adapts to a particular environmental context, one of those functions becomes differentiated, supporting the expression of developing strengths in real-world terms.

This is the basis of the Ego identity, and it occurs at the interface of culture and nature, just as a specialized cell will always be shaped by the organ it's supporting. The type model shows us what this psychological structure looks like once a function has been differentiated. If type were an innate pattern that we simply lived out, Jung's theory would make no sense.

In Jung's model, orienting ourselves by one function is not natural; it requires conscious choice. "Natural," from this standpoint, means reacting to circumstances as they occur, guided by instinctual patterns of behavior. Jung believed that consciousness had allowed humans to disrupt the direct connection between immediate emotional needs and behavioral responses. We get control over the brain states involved in those responses and direct them to conscious ends.

Those conscious goals are compensated by functions that have not been differentiated. This compensation is what keeps our conscious choices in touch with the motivating flame of our living, unadapted potential.

In other words, our differentiated function sets our conscious direction. Having all eight competing for control is hardly a condition of wholeness or balance. What you want is a differentiated function flexible enough to enlist information from the others and to take that information into account when decisions are being made.

Maurice Ravel

Joseph-Maurice Ravel (March 7, 1875 – December 28, 1937) was a French composer of Impressionist music known especially for his melodies, orchestral and instrumental textures and effects. Much of his piano music, chamber music, vocal music and orchestral music has entered the standard concert repertoire. Ravel's piano compositions, such as Jeux d'eau, Miroirs, Le tombeau de Couperin and Gaspard de la nuit, demand considerable virtuosity from the performer, and his orchestral music, including Daphnis et Chloé and his arrangement of Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, uses a variety of sound and instrumentation.

Ravel is perhaps known best for his orchestral work Boléro (1928), which he considered trivial and once described as "a piece for orchestra without music."[1] According to SACEM, Ravel's estate earns more royalties than that of any other French composer. According to international copyright law, Ravel's works have been in the public domain since January 1, 2008 in most countries. In France, due to anomalous copyright law extensions to account for the two world wars, they will not enter the public domain until 2015.[2]

Quadra Progression and Tarot

I don't actually know much at all about tarot, but I came across these recently and found them intriguing. As if almost suggestive of quadra archetypes and illustrating the fundamental character of their progression in life. Obviously you can't read into it literally… but I think if you look, you'll find there's oddly something to it.

For all suits: King = EJ, Queen = IJ, Knight = EP, Page = IP.

α = Wands, β = Pentacles, γ = Swords, δ = Cups. Where each sequence of that suit can be read more or less as a linear evolution of major qualitative attitudes, ideas, themes, and events typifying that quadra. I'll hold off on my own commentary for now because I want to see what others think. Unless it doesn't make sense to anybody, then maybe I'll try to explain.

Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (May 7, 1840 – November 6, 1893) was a Russian composer of the Romantic era. His wide ranging output includes symphonies, operas, ballets, instrumental and chamber music and songs. He wrote some of the most popular concert and theatrical music in the classical repertoire, including the ballets Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker, the 1812 Overture, his First Piano Concerto, his last three numbered symphonies, and the opera Eugene Onegin.

A documentary I've seen on him had explained him to be a rather emotionally sensitive child, for what its worth. He is also said to have been a fan of Mozart's music. Interestingly enough, one of my two favorite composers, John Williams, has been thought of as a probable INFj, and Tchaikovsky is my other favorite composer, so as a dedicated composer myself it would be interesting to figure out his type. Another composer whose music I have a rare connection with, Koji Kondo, has been typed as a probable Ne-IJ (maybe also INFj?)

Types and Land Warfare Units

EJ: Armor

High mobility and offensive firepower. Tough to kill when mobilized and has tremendous momentum to quickly punch through resistance, dominating any conventional battlefield where clear and decisive objectives are present. Much weaker on defense, however, and virtually a sitting duck in conditions with little to no maneuverability; environments abundant with concealed terrain (forests and cities) are especially hazardous. Against non-overt enemies, it is effectively useless. And while seemingly invulnerable, it's large size makes it an invitingly big target.

IJ: Artillery

Low mobility, excellent defensive firepower. Well-calculated barrages can lay down a rain of steel decimating an enemy offensive, grinding it to a cold and miserable halt at a distance; anyone or anything without adequate cover will be particularly at its mercy. Hence, the presence of well-entrenched, fortified heavy artillery is often an instrumental deterrent to attackers. Conversely, it doesn't have quite the same leverage offensively; typical artillery is stuck in fixed and/or unarmored positions that render it unable to survive long on an open battlefield or at close-range.

EP: Infantry

Moderate mobility and firepower. With flexibility to rapidly switch between offensive/defensive capabilities, occupy diverse combat roles (marines, airborne, VTOL assault, mechanized, etc), and freely operate in virtually any terrain environment. Infantry are of course vulnerable in exposed positions lacking adequate coverage, especially against hardened targets and long-range bombardment. But with favorable cover, concealment, and fire support, infantry can take or hold objectives indefinitely in the face of overwhelming opposition.

IP: Special Forces

Low mobility and firepower. Makes up for this with a forte in covert, indirect operations—asymmetric or unconventional warfare. Operating solo or in small teams behind enemy lines to clandestinely carry out vital recon and intel-gathering, espionage and disinformation, sabotage of installations or equipment, assassination of key military/political leaders, or rallying local dissidents into guerilla insurgencies. The obvious weakness here being that their survival depends on stealth; if compromised and discovered, they will likely be overrun.

Jung type, type / subtype, and temperament

So, I've read all these over and I know I relate the most to introverted thinking, feeling and sensing, where as the other 5 not really. I still have yet to chose which one is probably the strongest, but I have a question:

I've been pegged as an Ne subtype and fit the VI etc, but it seems rather superficial to me: the VI and subtyping, in that I don't really relate much at all to the extroverted intuitive description. Wouldn't it just be better to follow more Jungian intentions and say, if lets say for example someone is Ti dom, and also relates to Si, then their dual is Fe dom who also relates to Ne and/or Si? or more simply a Jungian Ti is duals with a Jungian Fe? I don't really get why it has to be so confusing: because I know some ISFps from VI who are dominant Fe more than Si, they arent really super rational or irrational, sometimes high energy sometimes not, and it seems like they should be dualed with any Ti dom alpha regardless of "temperament." Is temperament just a superficial distraction from the purpose of duality? because I don't really get it: if you're Fe dom, then you're Fe dom, you know?

Or maybe we just have the subtype system and VI mixed up. I recall instances of people both relating to their subtype more, like an Fi-ENFp not relating to Ne much and who identifies with Fi the most, and then opposite instances of someone like me, who relates to either Fi or Ti, but doesn't relate to Ne. Maybe its in the case of the latter that we are just typed wrong, because it wouldnt really make for someone identifying the most with Ti to have a dual who identifies the most with Si.

So I guess the question is, if you relate the most to Fi, why not just type yourself as IxFj, so you can have your Te dom dual? or if you relate the most to Fe, just be an ExFj and have a Ti dom dual (and wasn't that already how things were supposed to be?) I'm not trying to confuse anything, just make sense of it.

Quote

"Little men, with only a book knowledge of science, have seized upon evolution as an escape from the idea of a God. 'Evolution!' a wonderful, mouth-filling word, isn't it? It covers a world of ignorance. Just say 'evolution' and you have explained every phenomenon of Nature and explained away God. It sounds big and wise. Evolution, they say, brought the earth through its glacial periods, caused the snow blanket to recede, and the flower carpet to follow it, raised the forests of the world, developed animal life from the jelly-fish to the thinking man.

"But what caused evolution? There they stick. To my mind, it is inconceivable that a plan that has worked out, through unthinkable millions of years, without one hitch or one mistake, the development of beauty that has made every microscopic particle of matter perform its function in harmony with every other in the universe, that such a plan is the blind product of an unthinking abstraction. No; somewhere, before evolution was, was an Intelligence that laid out the plan, and evolution is the process, not the origin, of the harmony. You may call that Intelligence what you please: I cannot see why so many people object to call it God."

Quote

"People talk about creation as a remote fact of history, as if it were something that was attended to a long time ago, and finished at the time. But creation was not an act; it is a process; and it is going on to-day as much as it ever was. But Nature is not in a hurry. With God 'a thousand years is as a day.' Suppose you could have been a spirit in one of the past periods of the creation of the world, and that the Archangel Gabriel had taken you to a place' where you could see the earth as it was then covered miles deep with snow and ice, the air still full of swirling snowflakes that seemed to be burying the world forever. Suppose he showed you this silent, frozen, characterless waste (as it would seem to you), and told you that God was creating here a world of beauty, of seas and mountains, of flowers and forests, of song-birds and men. Suppose you flew away and were gone for a thousand years, and then looked again. You could not see that the scene had altered a particle. Another thousand years. Still no change that you could see.

"' Creation?' you cry out, ' I see nothing being done here.'

"'Patience,' is the angel's answer. 'Down beneath these miles of snow the ice is shifting, grinding, slicing, leveling, building, making a sierra here, a broad valley there, scooping out a Yosemite, leveling off a plain, polishing boulders, marking rock ledges with the handwriting of God, making ready warm glades for grass and flowers, mountain slopes for majestic forests, homes for birds ? breaking ground for beauty.'

"At the end of a few million years your visits are rewarded. The ice-cap has receded from parts of the earth. Seas are exposed, land has come into view, flowers have followed the retreating ice, trees nestle in the canons and climb the mountain shoulders, birds are caroling, fish dart along the singing streams, man is abroad to enjoy the beauties of the earth.

"This is creation. All this is going on today, only men are blind to see it. They think only of food. They are not content to provide three meals a day; they must have enough for a thousand meals. And so they build ships to carry the food that they call commerce, and they build houses to store food in, and other houses to buy and sell it in, and houses to eat it in, and load themselves down with the care of it so that they cannot get away. They can not pause long enough to go out into the wilderness where God has provided every sparrow enough to eat and to spare, and contemplate for even an hour the wonderful world that they live in. You say that what I write may bring this beauty to the hearts of those that do not get out to see it. They have no right to it. The good Lord put those things here as a free gift that he who chooses may take with joy. and he who will not walk out of the smoke of the cities to see them has no right to them."

Quote

"There are no accidents in Nature," he said. "Every motion of the constantly shifting bodies in the world is timed to the occasion for some definite, foreordered end. The flowers blossom in obedience to the same law that marks the course of constellations, and the song of a bird is the echo of a universal symphony. Nature is one, and to me the greatest delight of observation and study is to discover new unities in this all-embracing and eternal harmony."

I'm getting caught between the IXTjs. He definitely seems Ti leading, talking about pre-ordained external laws of order to the world in the form of God. This seems like a good time to examine his writings through the lens of cognitive styles, but it's tricky to understand exactly. Without taking into account his faulty definitions of evolution, I'm trying to see if he's describing dynamic processes with static goals or static processes with dynamic goals, but it's difficult to parse. In terms of VI he seems kinda niffweed-ey (maybe the beard is throwing me off). Thoughts encouraged.
